I entered a temple, in which there were two platforms for burning incense - one to yourself, and one to a god named Shakal. A beautiful boy, my age, was praying at the former platform. I approached him and was very attracted to him. After we interacted, he began to jog down the tunnel in the temple, at the end of which it opened up into green lawns, which were full of dancing people in the sunlight. I wanted to follow him, embrace him, kiss him, and dance with him so badly, but I wasn't able to before I awoke.
Dreams often reflect our subconscious thoughts, desires, and emotions. Here are some interpretations of the elements in your dream:
Temple Setting: A temple is a sacred space, often representing a search for meaning, spirituality, or a connection to the divine. It can signify a journey toward self-discovery or a place to reflect on your values.
Incense Platforms: The two platforms for burning incense suggest a duality in your life—perhaps a choice between self-care and devotion to a higher power (represented by the god Shakal). This could indicate a struggle between focusing on your personal interests versus your spiritual or external obligations.
The Beautiful Boy: This character may represent an idealized aspect of love, attraction, or a part of yourself that you find appealing. Your attraction to him could symbolize your desire for connection, affection, or the exploration of your own identity and relationships.
The Tunnel: Tunnels can represent transitions or journeys. They often signify moving from one phase of life to another or a deeper exploration of your own psyche. The fact that the tunnel opens into green lawns suggests a hopeful destination, symbolizing freedom, happiness, and potential.
Dancing People in Sunlight: The scene of dancing under sunlight is a powerful symbol of joy, celebration, and community. It represents the fulfillment of desires and the expression of happiness, suggesting that you’re yearning for connection and a sense of belonging.
Inability to Follow: Your inability to catch up with the boy before waking could symbolize feelings of longing, missed opportunities, or unfulfilled desires in your waking life. You may have aspirations or connections that feel just out of reach.
Overall, this dream seems to reflect themes of attraction, desire for connection, and the balance between self-exploration and spiritual or external commitments. It may indicate a longing for deeper relationships and fulfillment in your life. Consider what aspects of yourself or your life resonate with the dream's symbols and themes, and how they might inform your waking experiences or choices.
